Made with a conductive aluminum scrim sandwiched between two static dissipative layers, 8100 Series bags are ESD (electrostatic discharge) shielding bags that are considered “metal-in”. RoHS and REACH Compliant.



Material Standards. Manufactured to ANSI / ESD S20.20-2014, RoHS, and MIL-PRF-81705D standards. Printed with ESD Protective Symbol to alert operators and handlers per ANSI/ESD S8.1 and MIL-STD-2073 standards.

Electrical Properties. 8100 Series Static Shielding Bags are “Metal-In” dissipating static electricity on their outer surface at an anti-static rate (less than 1011 Ohms Square per ESD S11.11) with a buried aluminum laminate layer that is conductive (102 Ohms Square) shielding the inside of the bag from electrostatic discharges (ESD).

Uses. Used for packaging ESD sensitive materials like Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), Quartz and Microelectromechanical System (MEMS) Oscillators, and electronic parts suceptible to static. It is the only ESD shielding bag manufactured by Bennett & Bennett that is transparent enough for barcodes to be scanned through it.

Sizes. Sizes listed reflect measurements of the inner dimensions of the bag.

Warranty. Store in areas where bags are not exposed to ultraviolet light or humid conditions. Refer to information provided in ANSI/ESD S541-2008, Table 3 for testing to verify that the material is still good.
